Consignment Information
We are currently accepting EARLY SPRING Clothing and accessories for consignment. We are not ready for shorts and tank tops just yet!
We are no longer accepting Winter items.
We will be closed for the Holidays December 19th - January 7tth. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
What kinds of items do you take?
We're looking for Name Brand and Designer Clothing for Women and Children. Clothing must be in excellent condition, freshly laundered, ironed and on hangers. In-season items, purchased NEW within the last 2 years, have the most chance of being accepted. Due to our customers' preferences, we are unable to accept discount store brands.
We must also decline infant items under 12 months, unless they are Brand New with Manufacturers' tags still attached.
When can I bring items in for consignment?
The Clothes Horse accepts items Monday through Saturday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Wednesdays 'til 7 p.m. No appointment is needed. We will quickly make our selections and give back any items that may not work for us.
How much will I receive for my items?
You will receive 40% of the basic consignment price for all items sold during the consignment period. We will make every effort to sell your items during this time. You will receive 50% of the basic consignment price for gowns and furs.
When can I get money that is owed to me?
Stop in any time for money that is owed to you. You may pick up money as often as you'd like, or let it accumulate. You may also use the money owed you to purchase items in the store.
Who sets the prices for items?
The Clothes Horse Staff will price your items based on supply and demand, season, brand, and condition. We will make every effort to get you the best possible price for your items. We use a state-of-the art computer system to monitor sales and prices.
